Big lots, long drives, real tonnage

Eagle Mountain is not a city where you order two tons of gravel and call the project done. One of the fastest-growing cities in Utah is still, in large part, big unfinished lots, long private drives, and properties measured in fractions of an acre instead of square feet. The material math out here is different, and so is the trucking.

We’re honest about the distance: Eagle Mountain is a longer pull from our Lehi yard than the cities along I-15. But Eagle Mountain projects are usually multi-load projects, and per-ton trucking cost falls quickly when a truck delivers several loads to one address instead of one.

The Eagle Mountain order list

What actually rolls off our trucks in the Ranches and City Center:

  • Driveway gravel and road base — the signature Eagle Mountain order. Hundreds of feet of private drive, built in compacted lifts. Pit run as the base course on soft or silty ground, 3/4” road base as the cap.
  • Arena sand and footing — horse properties are everywhere here. Washed sand over a compacted base pad is the standard build, and we deliver both layers.
  • Fill dirt and pit run for leveling building pads and taming lots that came from the developer with more slope than the plat implied.
  • Topsoil — because the native ground is silty and thin, and anything you want green generally grows in imported soil.

For quantity planning on a long drive or an arena, the calculator will save you from the classic mistake of ordering one load for a five-load project.

Wind, silt, and why gravel earns its keep here

Eagle Mountain’s soils run silty, and anyone who’s lived through a west-desert windstorm knows where bare lot dirt goes — onto your neighbor’s porch. Graveling drives, parking areas, and dog runs isn’t just cosmetic out here; it’s how you stop your property from relocating. The same silt goes soft and rutty when wet, which is why we push compacted base sections instead of a decorative skim of rock that disappears into the mud by March.

Residential deliveries on acreage

Access in Eagle Mountain is usually the opposite of the urban problem: plenty of room, but the room is unpaved. Before we dispatch, we’ll ask about your private road’s condition, soft spots, and turnaround space — a loaded 10-wheel truck needs solid ground more than it needs width. On staged driveway jobs we sequence loads so the truck is always running on material we already placed.

For contractors and pad builders

Crews building pads, drives, and horse facilities in Eagle Mountain: multi-load scheduled delivery is where we’re most useful to you. Give us the tonnage and the window and we’ll cycle loads all day, and haul off spoils on the return legs so you’re not paying for empty miles in either direction.

Eagle Mountain Delivery FAQ

How much does dump truck delivery cost in Eagle Mountain? +

Eagle Mountain is a longer run from our Lehi yard than Saratoga or American Fork, so expect trucking on the upper end of the $10–$25 per ton range, sometimes a bit over for the far ends of City Center and the Ranches. The good news — Eagle Mountain orders tend to be big (long driveways, full arenas), and per-ton trucking drops fast on multi-load jobs.

How much gravel does a long private driveway take? +

More than most people guess. A 300-foot drive, 12 feet wide, at 4 inches of road base is roughly 60–65 tons — several truckloads. Measure your length and width, run it through our calculator, and budget for compaction in lifts rather than one thick dump.

Do you deliver sand for horse arenas in Eagle Mountain? +

Yes — washed sand for arena footing is a regular Eagle Mountain order, along with road base for the pad underneath. Depth and sand type depend on your discipline and base, so call or text (385) 284-6232 and we'll talk through it before you commit to a full arena's worth.

Can your trucks get down an unpaved private road? +

Usually — that's half our Eagle Mountain work. What we need to know up front is road width, soft spots, turnaround room, and whether anything overhead is lower than about 14 feet. If your road is the project, we can deliver in stages so the truck always has good ground under it.

My lot is bare dirt that blows away every windstorm. What helps? +

You're not alone — Eagle Mountain's silty topsoil moves when it's dry and bare. Gravel cover on drives and high-traffic areas stops the worst of it, and imported topsoil plus established vegetation handles the rest. We deliver both.
